More Or Less 04:02
Pour your heart into it, You Break your back to prove it What means more Can mean less Let the Ideas overwhelm you In good time they'll become you It's what you do That defines you You make your bed so lie in it You sell yourself the promises There's nothing more, Nothing less Live life through the mantra That nothing else should matter It's what you do That defines you More Or Less Born Again More Or Less

Peak down from your cloud I don’t know why, but you’re godlike now Look down, look down, look down Turn round you’re out ahead, Sticking to the plan in your own head, Turn round turn round turn round. I wanna be a loner and owe nobody I wanna be a loner with no apologies I wanna be a loner and owe nobody I wanna be a loner with no apologies I just wanna be free….. Free to be me….. I don’t wanna owe nobody, not even an apology I spy with my little eye, Something bigger than the world outside I spy I spy I spy She said been there before, Even though it’s hidden in my top draw, She said, She Said, She Said I wanna be a loner and owe nobody I wanna be a loner with no apologies I wanna be a loner and owe nobody I wanna be a loner with no apologies I just wanna be free….. Free to be me….. I don’t wanna owe nobody, not even an apology

I caught the 602 at a 8-10 and I headed up the stairs With my walkman on, fast rewind so I can start all over again Lost in my murmur of memories Driving late at night through the country lanes in my mums Renault 5 With the radio on and the stars aligned, I’m John Peel Inspired Lost in my murmur of memories So I wrote some songs, started a band to impress some girl I met Songs of changing smiles, dancing by the moonlight... so much innocence. Lost in my murmur of memories

Crass is the rose when it awakes Syphon away all my mistakes Join the dots with my eyes Fight the urge to deny. I Jump over a hole just to survive. Jump into the hole to feel alive We all have something to hide. We all have much more to find As we wait to download Some feelings are best left alive Wait to download There’s a time and a place to speak these words Conversations over-heard. So Lay down the line Beyond your love-torn eyes We all have someone to believe in We’ve all heard something misleading Double check... verify. I don’t believe my own eyes As we wait to download Some feelings are best left alive Wait to download Look into your eyes Dawning of the light As we wait to download Some feelings are best left alive As we wait to download

about

In 2005 I wrote and recorded a CD every month for a year. A physical CD was sent to whoever wanted it. 10 years later I have finished recording a 12 track LP with folk collective Few Who Do. I'm planning on doing a monthly release of each track from the LP in addition to challenging myself to write at least 2 new acoustic tracks written each month.

Here are 3 tracks I wrote in July and track 7 from the LP - More Or Less

1. More or less - A song about getting a burning desire or artist vision that is inside you, out there. In the end it’s what you do now that defines you later… and it doesn’t always have to be perfect!

2. Free To Be Me - We all have a certain degree of ‘looking after number one’ inside us. It’s human nature’s way of making us original and is often frowned upon in today’s society.… This is a song about someone who looks after number one but doesn’t push it on other people. Naught wrong with that.

3. Lost In My Murmor of Memories - A look back on my youth when I was 17ish….

4. Wait To Download - Everything seems to come instantly at the touch of a button these days. This is simply a song about the enjoyment/anticipation of waiting and the thrill that can bring.
