Bad Day 04:07
It could’ve been a bad day, the worst I could imagine It could’ve been the wrong time, for all of this to happen It could’ve been a moment, a moment never savoured It could’ve been the end of, the end of something greater. And yet it could’ve been worse than this, And yet it could’ve been worse than this, And yet it could’ve been worse than this, And yet it could’ve been worse than this It could've been a good day, the best I could imagine It could’ve been the right time, for everything to happen It could’ve been a moment, a moment that I savoured It could’ve been the start of, the start of something greater. Yet it could’ve been better than this Yet it could’ve been better than this Yet it could’ve been better than this Yet it could’ve been better than this Now you're falling down into my arms Falling down to disarm It could've been better, It could've been worse It could've been better, It could've been worse It could've been better.

When we’re driving in our car what will we see? When we’re driving in our car what will we see? When we’re driving in our car what will we see? When we're driving in our car We might see a yellow school bus We might see a double decker bus We might see a long bendy bus When we’re driving in our car We might see a red fire truck We might see An ambulance We might see a police car in a rush When we’re driving in our car We might go over a bridge We might go under a bridge We might go round a roundabout When we’re driving in our car We might see rain falling down We might see big fluffy clouds We might see stars all around When we're driving in our car We might see people walking dogs We might see people laughing a lot We might see people jogging along When we're driving in our car We might see a forest of trees We might see geese flying in a V We might see a cow or a sheep When we're driving in our car We might see a doughnut shop We might see an ice cream truck We might see our favorite restaurant When we're driving in our car We might stop at a traffic light We might stop and let a train go by We're gonna stop and say goodbye Because we've arrived back home!

Am I falling in love with the idea or am I falling in love? Am I falling in love with the idea or am I falling in love? Take One Step forward and 2 steps back You’ve taken my soul with a heart attack Losing my self, losing track I’m stuck in a rut with unconditional love Am I falling in love with the idea or am I falling in love? Am I falling in love with the idea or am I falling in love? If burning bridges ain’t enough Then healing myself sure is tough Finding someone I can really trust I’m stuck in a rut with unconditional love I’m one of the frozen ones lost in pro’s and con’s and I feel I can’t move on stuck in a rut with unconditional love I fell in love with the idea, I never fell in love.

about

In 2005 I wrote and recorded a CD every month for a year. A physical CD was sent to whoever wanted it. 10 years later I have finished recording a 12 track LP with folk collective Few Who Do. I'm planning on doing a monthly release of each track from the LP in addition to challenging myself to write 2 new acoustic tracks written each month.

Here are the 2 tracks I wrote in April and track 4 from the LP - Bad Day.

1. Bad Day - Being the eternal optimist I am this song started out is about looking on the bright side of a bad day. However... you soon realize that there's always a flip-side and there are no winners because even good days could have be better.

2. Driving In Our Car - Written whilst driving in my car ... I've started recording this to be part of the kids album I'm currently writing. Go to www.facebook.com/dadandkidmusic for more info on that!

3. What A Great Idea - An anti-love song about falling in love with the idea of falling in love but not falling in love.
