1.
Take a large breathe and inhale the misty morning as you rise, With Open eyes see the sun is shining inside your cloudy mind Look to the sun and moon and stars for a compass of the familiar Close your eyes, find a comfort in the familiar Call me at any time, I’m the sound of the familiar Close your eyes, find a compass to the familiar. There’s a new world waiting around the corner but It’s just out of sight There’s a new hope under every stone you will turn, all in good time Look to the sun and moon and stars for a compass of the familiar Close your eyes, find a comfort in the familiar Call me at any time, I’m the sound of the familiar Close your eyes, find a compass to the familiar.
2.
Pulling away out of the line of sight of you Selling the sun to be apart from what they already knew Maybe it’s crashed, maybe a fallen star If you celebrate early you can slowly fall apart Oh. look the way that you're facing Oh. get past what you're going through Disaster splatters over the window shield pain Sensing departures you're fueled by a killing rage All the ratings fall and desperate tastes arise They’re Telling a joke about you like you’re not alive There’s something in the water and now it’s absorbing your mind You’re paper heart burns smolders, and your ashes turn to flight I just split my lip, pretending you’re walter burns You’re a deviant, low life, riding on all you deserve
3.
Row Row Row your boat Gently down the stream, Merrily merrily merrily merrily Life is but a dream Ride ride ride your bike, bumping down the trail Watch out for catepillars, flowers and snails Drive drive drive your car On a racing track When you cross the finish line Everyone will clap Fly fly fly your plane Zooming through the sky If you look down at us You’ll see us wave bye bye, 5,4,3,2,1 Blasting of to mars, If you see an alien, Take a photograph. Row Row Row your boat Gently down the stream, Merrily merrily merrily merrily Life is but a dream

about

In 2005 I wrote and recorded a CD every month for a year. A physical CD was sent to whoever wanted it. 10 years later I have finished recording a 12 track LP with folk collective Few Who Do. I'm planning on doing a monthly release of each track from the LP in addition to challenging myself to write at least 2 new acoustic tracks written each month.

Here are 2 new tracks I wrote in October and track 10 from the LP - Compass To The Familiar

1. Compass To The Familiar - A song of longevity, belonging and having the familiar to fall back on. Security.

2. Silent Water - Life is like taking a boat on silent water. Just keep paddling and you can pretty much glide past most hazards just look the way you're facing.

3. Row, Row, Row Your Boat - This is a classic nursery ryhme... I just added a few new verses.
